How long have you provided Virtual PA Services?
We started providing online support in June 2005
What’s your background, experience and do you have a specific skill set?
Sara started her career as an Executive Assistant supporting the Marketing Director at IBM and then moved on to work for the VP for Strategy & Finance at Pepsi Foods where she managed their European HQ office move, as a result of which she was promoted to Office Services Manager.
Can you give some examples of the work you’ve carried out in the past?
Most of our time is spent on tasks which save time for our clients. For example, posting to social media profiles such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and designing and sending E-Newsletters, researching material for blog articles and managing websites.
Do you research holiday destinations as part of your Virtual PA Services?
Yes, this is one of our favourite tasks! We have worked overseas and know southern Europe fairly well so are in a good place to source the ideal family holiday - most of our clients are too busy to spend time researching flights, hotels and activities such as sailing, scuba diving and skiing - we also research properties and schools when our clients move house.
What are your main communication methods?
We primarily use Microsoft products for email and preparing documents. We talk with our clients on the phone when more in depth discussions are required and organise Skype calls with those who are further away or overseas. We also use Dropbox for sharing files and Photoshop for editing images.
What's not included in your fees?
When our clients need us to visit them we charge for our mileage and / or public transport expenses and add stationery items and postage to our invoices.
What areas of business are your clients in?
We have worked for clients in the following industries:
